Gnome costume

Made this costume for my 2.5 year old. The hat and belt I crocheted and the beard I made with white felt and fiberfill stuffing. For the hat I used a pattern off of the Red Heart website but ended up needing to add a bunch of rows because it came out way too small. Overall, it came out pretty cute!

Fingerless Gloves

My Mom requested fingerless gloves and she picked out the yarn while we were at the Sheep and Wool festival in Rhinebeck, NY. The yarn is a blend of merino wool and angora bunny fibers which makes it oh so soft. I used this pattern.

A Catch-Up Post

I have not updated this in some time, but I have not stopped crocheting! I'll post some pictures of the projects I have done lately.

Owl cushion for my cousin's 11th birthday. The colors match her bedspread!

YAY! I finished my first ever knitting project. A double sided pot holder.

The opposite side is the mirror image of the other.

A crocheted sponge. These pictures are taken after one use.
Made one side smooth and one side rough.

Hat for myself that I'm just not sure I like.
Hat for Tyler that he has pretty much outgrown already haha

So, that's what I have been working on lately. I am hopefully going to be updating again pretty soon because I am working on some really cute stuff right now!

Fire Mario

My cousin asked me for a fireball from Mario, but I decided to make him Mario with fire power instead. I used the pattern from the Wolfdreamer blog. My other cousin asked for Yoshi, so they will be getting these gifts this weekend! If I ever find the time, I may have to make another Mario for keepsies! :D

Horde Pillow

The perfect pillow to demonstrate your WoW love, obviously. I could have made an Alliance pillow (considering my Alliance to Horde characters is a ratio of about 10:1) but everyone knows the Horde symbol and colors are much cooler... So, here it is! I'd like to sell this. If anyone is interested please shoot me an email :)

Horde Baby.

I made another Hobbes from the Calvin and Hobbes comic. This time he is more like the stuffed animal that everyone else would see Calvin with - instead of like last one I made more the imaginary Hobbes version here. He's cute, and I always let my son give my finished projects one quick cuddle before I send them off to their rightful owners.

Pattern for this Hobbes can be found here.

I made this for my cousin who's pregnant with a baby girl due in August :) I can't wait to meet her!

I wish I would've taken better pictures, but I was too tired to function and just snapped a couple pics before heading out to her baby shower.

Fire Flower

Here is a Fire Flower from Mario. I tried to make the cube once, but it came out more round than square so I added a little cardboard on the sides so it would keep its shape. I think it's pretty cute!

Because I think my kid is cute too xD

Hylian Shield Fail

So, based on the chart I made in a previous post, I started to crochet my Hylian shield. & Yeah...

Crap. When I made my chart, I, stupidly, did not make sure that each box was a perfect square. Annnd, they weren't. Because of that, the shield came out much too narrow. Now, I'm making a new chart and resizing all of my boxes so that it will turn out the way I would like it to. Haven't decided if I should just pull all of this out, or finish it and make it a hanging banner or something. /Sigh

Nintendo Controller Pillow

The Nintendo Controller pillow seems to be very popular at the moment! :) It takes me about 3 days to complete the whole thing & now I need to go out and get more stuffing :) Here are some more pictures of it.
Two year old. Messy apartment. Husband's desk (including energy drink, of coarse), my desk & YARN haha <3

The back of the pillow

...Now, to start that Hylian shield!!

Mr. Moogly Bear

If anyone is like my soon-to-be-husband, you might be on a Final Fantasy kick right now with FFXIV coming out. "OMG I GOT INTO THE BETA," "OMG IT'S SOOO AMAZING!" He's calling his friends screaming & all giddy.  I swear, when a new game is coming out that he is excited for, he turns into a pre-teen at a Justin Bieber concert. Although, I have never personally played a FF game; I know FF has some of the cuuutest characters in game (see baby chocobo in post below).
**Mr. Moogly Bear:

Size comparison. 2 month old vs. Moogle

So there he is. I used this pattern to make him.

Disclaimer: My almost-hubby isn't that bad. Maybe. OK, yes.. yes he is.

Love ya babe!

Does this count as creating my own pattern? I like to think so, even though I only played around on a spreadsheet with the colors. I am super excited that someone asked me to make a Hylian shield pillow as Legend of Zelda is my all time fave. Seriously, I may have a problem. I have a couple other projects that I have to do first, but I can't wait to get started on this!
Each box represents one stitch so I should be golden... Hopefully >.<

Yessss, those adorable little minions from Despicable Me! I have crocheted one, using THIS awesome pattern! He is so cute, I may have a hard time giving him up. Anyway, enough nonsense. Here is the finished product:

He is about 14" tall.. about the same size as my newborn all scrunched up :P
