Nintendo Controller Pillow

The Nintendo Controller pillow seems to be very popular at the moment! :) It takes me about 3 days to complete the whole thing & now I need to go out and get more stuffing :) Here are some more pictures of it.
Two year old. Messy apartment. Husband's desk (including energy drink, of coarse), my desk & YARN haha <3

  2. Hi Shantee,

If you know how to crochet the tunisian simple stitch then you already know how to make this! If not, there are so many tutorials on YouTube. I'd also check out how to change colors in tunisian crochet if you are not familiar with that either.

I used this chart for the color changes which I found through a Google search: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/130041507961725105/

Good luck, feel free to email me if you need help!

  3. If you have time, could you tell me on the color changes, did you tie off the yarn from the previous color each time you changed color or just kept the previous color behind your work?

    1. Hi Deb,

Since I turned mine into a pillow, I didn't worry about how neat the back was. If the color changes were more than ~5 stitches apart, I would just cut the yarn and use a new piece when needed. I did not tie any knots.

To secure the yarn I would always bring the new color under the previous color. I think this video explains it the best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbupvlYzq_U
I would skip to the middle of the video - that's when she shows you how to secure the yarn.

      Best of Luck :)

    2. Kelly, thanks so much for taking the time to answer. That is exactly what I was going to do with the colors and stitches. My 16 year old step grandson suggested a gamer-themed pillow. When I saw yours it was exactly what I was looking for.
