Pink Sweater for a newborn

I really love this pattern from Holland designs, so I knew when one of my coworkers asked for a sweater set for a soon to be born baby girl, that was exactly what I was going to make. She wanted the set to be pink and white, so I picked up some Bernat Baby yarn at Michaels and got to work! This is the result & I've already had a few requests for more. :)

My coworker showed me some pictures of the new baby wearing this set & I was so happy to see that everything fit beautifully and the baby looked so so cute!

Super Mario

I have been on a bit of a Mario kick lately. I made several characters from the games. I used the patterns on the Wolfdreamer blog.

Also, I made a light box for better photos of my work! I am going to try to open an Etsy shop this coming week, so be on the look out for some of these items that you will be able to purchase!

Final Fantasy Cactuar Crochet Pattern

My husband asked me to make a cactuar for his secret santa partner. I was searching and searching for a pattern to use, but every time I thought I had found a good one, the link was dead. I finally decided that the cactuar's shape was simple enough and I was going to wing it.

I spent a few hours staring at pictures on Google and trying to recreate the character. It wasn't working. So, I put my work down and gave myself over 24 hours and then I started over again. This time I started crocheting and didn't stop until the cactuar was done and put together.

I'm pleased with the results! This will be the first pattern I have ever written! :D

Cactuar Pattern:

worsted weight yarn in green
very small amount of black yarn
black felt

1. Make a magic ring and sc 6 (6)
2. 2sc around (12)
3. (sc 1, 2sc) around (18)
4. (sc 2, 2sc) around (24)
5-21: sc in each stitch (24)
*I added the hair at this point. I tied a large knot at one end of a small piece of black yarn and pulled it through the inside of the body so the yarn was sticking out the top and the knot was keeping the yarn from being pulled out. Repeat this 2 more times to make the three stands of hair. Stuff. *
22: (sc 2, sc2tog) around (18)
23: (sc 1, sc2tog) around (12)
24: (sc2tog) around (6)
Sew the opening closed and weave in ends.

Arms (Make 4)
Round 1: Make a magic ring and sc 8 (8)
Rounds 2-6: sc in each stitch (8)
Fasten off. Stuff. Sew two pieces together to make one arm. Sew the opening of one piece perpendicular to another at the end of the piece. Sew to body.

Legs: (Make 4)
Round 1: Make a magic ring and sc 6 (6)
Round 2: (sc 1, 2sc) three times. (9)
Rounds 3-6: sc in each stitch (9)
Fasten off. Stuff. Sew the legs together the same way you sewed the arms. Sew to body.

Add your finishing touches. Cut two circles and one oval from your black felt and hot glue to make the face. Now enjoy your cactuar!!

I have been pretty busy working up a stash for an upcoming craft fair (Dec. 7th in Greenwood Lake!!) and haven't been posting most of the things I'm making, but this guy deserves a post! :)

I used a free (YAY) pattern from One Dog Woof. It was actually pretty easy to make since he is consisted of pretty simple shapes. Hope this guy will find his home at the craft fair :)

Pattern from Nerdigurumi
Kirby by request! Came out pretty cute, I'm contemplating making another to add to the craft fair stash. Hopefully I'll be doing a fair in a couple of weeks in Monroe, and one in early December in Greenwood Lake. It will be my first time attending a craft fair as a seller so I'll be crocheting my fingers off these next few weeks trying to craft as much as possible! Wish me luck!

So, I plan on selling this guy that I recently finished making, but seriously he is SO cute I'm not sure I'll be able to part with him. My husband told me I need to make an army of these guys because he thinks everyone will want one haha!

This was my first time making a pom pom & it was surprisingly easy! I will (reluctantly) add him to my shop if anyone would like to purchase this snowman!

I made another dinosaur! It's the third project that I have made from Snuggleme Stitches and definitely not my last :)

Dinosaur Diva

Made this pretty lady today! I had previously made the green/blue triceratops I posted here, and thought it was about time I made his female counterpart! Perfect gift for a dinosaur loving baby or toddler! This dino is being added to my shop section!

You can find the pattern here.

Monster High Themed Hat and Scarf

For a custom order, I made a Monster High Themed Hat and Scarf for a 7 year old girl. I didn't follow a pattern for either & the scarf took a few restarts since I had first wanted the stripes to go horizontally, but I am happy with the outcome! :)

Baby Girl Hat and Booties

Made this hat and booties set as a request for a baby girl. The hat I just used HDCs and added a small brim. The flower and shoes were free patterns I found here and here. I love the way it turned out :)

Ribbed Stripey Hat

Free pattern on the Moogly blog! For my boys this winter :)

I figured out how to do an invisible join on this hat, finally! The join was the only thing I didn't like about the hat, it was really obvious and not neat looking at all. If anyone is interested, here's what I did:

When going from one color to the next, do your last DC and slip stitch join with the same color
Switch to the new color with the ch 1 and do your BPDC around the first dc post AND your ch 2 from the previous row.

Hope that helps someone!

Daisy and snail

I made these for a Garden themed swap in one of my Ravelry groups. It was a lot of fun to put everything together, even if it was for someone I have never met :) I made a flower person and her little snail friend.

Pattern for the flower is here.

I made this octopus a few weeks ago, which I absolutely LOVE! The tentacles really were a pain and felt like they would never end while I was crocheting, but in the end it was so worth it! Super cute results!

Pattern for this can be found here

Bubble Puppy

Made for my little cousin's first birthday. I hope she likes it!

I used this pattern that I purchased from Etsy.

My kids also love the Bubble Guppies on Nick Jr. I might just have to make another for them! Here is an image of the Bubble Puppy that I found on Google:

I found this pattern on Etsy and knew that I had to make it! It is so adorable that I will probably end up making more in different color schemes. Or maybe a girl dinosaur with rosy cheeks and big eyelashes. Anyway, here is my crochet triceratops:

Knit watermelon halter top for my little cousin! She is too adorable and the perfect little model!

I was actually really excited when someone asked me to make a butterfly. I'm not sure why because at first I was like, "How am I gunna do this?!" But after lots of brainstorming, and searching through patterns (there were NONE that I liked.. at all! I was really surprised), I finally figured out how I would do it. It didnt even take me that long! I messed up on one of the wings and had to start over once, but besides that it was good!

Here is the requested butterfly with pink and purple colors:

This was also my first time giving my amigurumi "blush." I love love the finished effect. Going to ship this one off tomorrow for a new baby girl's nursery! So exciting :)

Lucas' third birthday

For Lucas' third birthday, I decided to make him one of his favorite cartoon characters from Disney Jr. Special Agent Oso. Below is what he looks like on the show:
Here is the home made version of Agent Oso:

He is definitely not perfect. I started him TWO days before little man's birthday so I was crocheting like a mad woman. I messed up when I attached his arms and attached them upside down by accident. Now, Agent Oso is forever giving two thumbs down. Ohhh well, he is made with love in every stitch and I suppose that's all that counts. I have a video of Lucas opening this on his birthday and that makes it all worth it :) Happy Birthday to my Big Little Man!!

Jolly Roger Cloth

I really love how this came out! It can either be a wash cloth or a dish cloth, I made it from 100% cotton. Took me two days of knitting to finish and it was so worth it! I believe my husband used the word "epic" :D

More random things I made from yarn

I made another Mario and I love him so much. I was really sad to let him go!
My Mama-in-law wearing the fingerless gloves I made her for Christmas!

Slouchy hat for me!

Woah woah woah, I can knit?? A scarf work in progress :)
